A band that literally woke me up and not so literally dragged me to the stage appears in Offbeat Intros this time. Irie Fire have some very catchy tunes indeed and Sareii from the band chats to me, shares some stories and gives a great introduction into the band.
We will be taking a journey from Baltimore to Byron Bay as we play ska and Reggae tunes, the Australian influence coming from the fantastic Blue King Brown in the double play. Add to that the suggested album being "versions" of Horace Andy tracks by various dub artists and the show is definitely something to look forward to.

"Are there Christmas songs?" you ask. No there are not. I have my reasons.
I do however have an amazing chat with Trenton & Free Radical .. a south African artist who has worked with Maxi Jazz of Faithless and Lee Scratch Perry!
The double play is getting back to the roots of good old Ska music in the form of The Aggrolites, we have new music as a tribute to his father from Junior Toots and SO MUCH MOOOOORE!
The featured album is a good one. I think. I didn't listen. More explained in the show!

After a drought of interviews we are back with a great and insightful chat with Justin from surf rock reggae band - Cali Conscious.

Thanks to a showbiz friend being tagged in a post with the double play artist I found new (to me) UK Ska which was a result! Also the featured album brings music that you NEED in your collection. Arkaingelle (yes I spelt that correctly) has a new album and we preview two tracks!

All Interviews fell through so there's more music! Double play from Common Kings as I fall across a video on Facebook. A French chap searched America and Jamaica for Reggae inspiration, did he manage it? I take a look into a couple of his tunes! Also the suggested album, well ... EP ... is from Mr Prefect himself! Called "Dumplin Shop" it's worth your hard earned money and I tell you why!

It's been a month off due to the laptop dying but Andy is back with the FINEST rocksteady, roots, dub and ska!
The double play is a Nigerian/Italian artist who recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio. New music from Dandy Livingstone is covered with his new release as the featured album and he shows you the new release from Toots and the Maytals! Just before his passing Toots released a new album and one particular song shows their interpretation of a popular Bob Marley tune!
Add in a lovely chat with the ska and reggae band Stop The Presses and we have a pretty packed show!

Lots more to look forward to including a big well done to the winner of the Best Reggae Album Grammy!
