Brief History

Rampaging out of the south west, IRIE FIRE, an eight piece reggae fusion band are here to entertain you and to spread our passionate vibes far and wide.

The band formed in 2017 through good friends who have different backgrounds and careers, but who all love to play music together. From the beginning they spent lots of time writing beautiful reggae music, whilst pushing our boundaries further away from their west country base and representing their Somerset roots.

In summer 2018, they released our debut, self titled album, which has had thousands of streams on Spotify and other platforms, and good reactions from music industry professionals. This led to a summer packed full of fantastically received festival performances and gigs, The Godney Gathering and One Love Festival being highlights, giving us more confidence and a platform to grow as a band.

In 2019 IRIE FIRE saw a line up change as Elliot decided to move on from the band. They welcomed into the band Alen on vocals and keys and Pete on guitar and are really enjoying nurturing their sound as a band and writing new music together.

They take influence from a wide range of Caribbean music, Cali roots reggae and UK reggae, and put it all together to form luscious vocals, hair raising horns, shredding guitar solos and the infectious grooves of the rhythm section. With songs full of hooks and riffs they guarantee that you, the audience, will be up dancing and singing along.
